COLOUR
Dark ruby red of good intensity with a purple cherry color and slow legs on the swirl.
NOSE
Clean and complex developed aromas of Blueberry jam and plum, fig, and a subtle forest floor nuance.
PALATE
Clean developing full-bodied flavors of fresh blackberry and warm toasty damson. A soft tannin impression across the palate gives way to a satisfying length of cherry toast and sweet coffee bean on the finish.
WINEMAKING
The fruit is harvested from two clones of mature merlot vines in sections A & D on the estate vineyard. Traditional vinification techniques are applied with minimal intervention to preserve its regional identity.
FOOD PAIRING
Roast beef or slow-cooked lamb shanks with potatoes.
